Municipality Seeking Public Assistance Regarding Repeated Sign Theft on Leeftink Road

The Municipality is seeking the public’s assistance following the repeated theft of load restriction signs on Leeftink Road.

Municipal staff have observed that the load posting signs installed along the roadway have been stolen on multiple occasions. These signs are an important part of protecting local infrastructure and ensuring that load restrictions are clearly communicated to motorists.

Anyone with information that may help identify the individuals responsible is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can be provided anonymously.

Load Restrictions Remain in Effect

Residents and road users are reminded that load restrictions on Leeftink Road and Jacobson Road remain in effect, despite the missing signage.

These restrictions are necessary to help protect the roadway and surrounding infrastructure, particularly as the Municipality prepares for the bridge replacement project scheduled to take place this year.

The Municipality appreciates the cooperation of residents and road users and thanks the community for helping to protect municipal assets and maintain safe road conditions for everyone.
