The Municipality advises residents, businesses, and commercial carriers that seasonal half load restrictions will be lifted effective Monday, June 8, 2026.
These temporary restrictions are put in place each spring to protect municipal roads that are more susceptible to damage during the freeze-thaw cycle. With improving road conditions, full legal load limits will be reinstated across all affected municipal roadways as of the effective date above.
What this means:
- Vehicles may resume carrying full legal loads beginning June 8
- All posted half load signage will no longer be in effect
- Normal axle weight limits will apply in accordance with provincial regulations
