Report a Road Issue
Help us keep our roads safe and well maintained by reporting roadway concerns when you see them.
Issues commonly reported include:
- Potholes
- Damaged or missing signs
- Streetlight outages
- Flooding or drainage concerns
- Fallen trees or debris
- Road surface damage
- Snow and ice concerns
- Unsafe road conditions
How to Submit a Report
When reporting an issue, please provide:
- The exact location
- A brief description of the concern
- Photos, if available
- The date and time observed

Road Ownership and Responsibility
Not all roads are maintained by the Municipality. Depending on the location, another road authority may be responsible for maintenance and repairs.
Unorganized Roads
Roads maintained in the unorganized sections are maintained by local roads boards. Kukagami Lake Road is only maintained by the Municipality for the first km. Past this point, the local roads board maintains the roadway.
Provincial Highways
Provincial highways are maintained by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario.
To report a concern on a provincial highway:
- Dial 511 or 1-800-268-4686
- Visit Ontario 511
What Happens After You Submit a Report?
Once received, reports are reviewed by staff and prioritized based on:
- Public safety
- Severity of the issue
- Traffic volume
- Weather conditions
- Operational requirements
- Condition of other roadways
Concerns may require inspection before repairs can be scheduled. During weather events, repairs will take longer.
Emergency Situations
If the issue presents an immediate danger to public safety, call 911 immediately.
Examples include:
- Major roadway hazards
- Downed power lines
- Serious flooding
- Large debris blocking traffic
- Motor vehicle collisions
