This reduces court congestion and provides residents with a more accessible, streamlined process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the AMPS portal, you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pay a penalty<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Request an extension<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask for a screening or hearing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Track the status of a penalty notice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amps.sebbs.ca\/main\"><strong>Access the AMPS Portal<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Dispute a Penalty Notice<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents who receive a Penalty Notice have two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pay the penalty<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Request a review<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, with a <strong>Screening Officer<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If not satisfied, escalate to an external <strong>Hearing Officer<\/strong> (final decision, no further appeal)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p> Any unpaid penalties and fees may be added to your <strong>property tax roll<\/strong> and collected with municipal taxes.
